We want a freelancer answering DMs for two months. I do not want them seeing billing, exporting our contacts or editing published automations. How fine grained can access actually get?

We close a reasonable number of deals that start in the DMs but the record of it lives in someone's head and a spreadsheet. What should actually be recorded, and where, so the pipeline is real?

Our welcome flow sent a first time discount to people who have been buying from us for two years. They were not impressed. How do you exclude an existing customer from a flow meant for new people?

We manage social for about ten brands and we are currently logging in and out of a different tool per client. What does a sane setup look like for an agency, and does each client need their own subscription?
There are two of us answering DMs from the same Instagram account and we keep replying to the same person or both assuming the other one did. The native app gives us nothing. How do teams handle a shared Instagram inbox?

The Instagram window closes and then we cannot reach people who genuinely wanted to hear back. Collecting a phone number in the chat and texting later seems like the answer. How is that set up and what are the rules?
Our TikTok does better than our Instagram but I cannot find any tool that automates TikTok DMs. Is that a platform limitation or am I looking in the wrong place?
Most of our audience is on X rather than Instagram. Does DM automation work there, and does it have the same rules about who you can message?

Someone suggested we move our community onto Telegram because the messaging rules are looser. Is that true, and what does it actually let you do that Instagram does not?

I am not technical and the demos all look like flowcharts with a lot of boxes. Is this something a marketing person can actually set up, or do we need to budget for a developer?

Half the sites I read say chatbot and half say DM automation and I cannot tell if they are selling the same thing. Is there an actual difference or is it just marketing words?
We get the same three questions on Instagram and on our Facebook Page. I do not want to maintain two copies of the same flow. Can one automation cover both channels?
Fatou D. ·
We are choosing between two platforms and nobody wants to talk about leaving. Realistically, what moves with you and what do you rebuild if you switch DM automation tools in a year?
Amara N. ·
There are a lot of these tools and the feature lists all look the same. We got burned once by something that stopped working after a platform change. What would you actually check before committing?

I am one person with a small shop and I cannot justify a subscription before I know this works. Can you actually auto reply to Instagram comments on a free plan, or is it a trial that stops after a week?
Bayu P. ·
We are trying to model the cost of scaling this up and the plan price is clearly not the whole picture. What are the things that actually meter, so I can put them in a spreadsheet?
