Yes. Instagram Live comments are a separate trigger from feed and Reel comments, and a keyword filter works on them the same way.
This is worth setting up before a Live rather than during one. During a broadcast you cannot read every comment, and the questions repeat: price, link, size, shipping, is it still available. A keyword trigger on the Live comment event answers each of those in a DM while you keep talking.
A pattern that works:
- Live comment trigger, keyword mode contains, a short list like price, cost,
link, buy.
- Private reply with the answer and the link.
- Tag the contact so you know they asked during the Live.
Set it up as a separate automation from your normal comment flow, even if the content is similar. During a Live the volume arrives in minutes rather than hours, and having it separate means you can pause it the moment the broadcast ends without touching your always-on comment automation.
Two limits. The comment has to contain your keyword, so leave the list short and obvious rather than clever. And the 24 hour window starts from their comment, so anything you want them to do should be in that first reply.
