One role would cover us. Must not touch billing or channels.
There are four roles today: Owner, Admin, Member and Viewer. There is no Editor, and we know that gap is felt, because it comes up in support often enough that we wrote a help article saying it does not exist.
The shape people describe is consistent: someone who can build and publish automations and broadcasts, but cannot touch billing, cannot connect or disconnect channels, and cannot invite people. A senior marketer, or an agency contractor working inside a client workspace.
Today those people get Admin, which also gives them billing and channel access, or Member, which may not let them publish. Neither is right and the first one is a real risk.
Before we add a fifth role we want to be sure a role is the answer. The alternative is finer-grained permissions on the existing roles, which is more flexible and more work to understand.
Two questions:
- Would one Editor role cover your case, or do you need to compose permissions
per person?
- What must an Editor absolutely not be able to do? Billing is obvious. Is
disconnecting a channel on that list, or is that acceptable?
If you are an agency, say how you handle it now. Workarounds tell us more than wishes.
