Second group, Google. Our staff will not maintain two calendars, they just will not.
Right now booking availability comes from the shifts and time off you enter in ChatinFlow, plus existing bookings. Customers get an add to calendar link in the confirmation, and staff can subscribe to a read-only feed of their bookings.
What does not exist yet: a staff member's private calendar event blocking a booking slot. If a stylist puts a dentist appointment in their own Google Calendar, ChatinFlow does not know and will still offer that slot.
We deliberately built the one-way half first, because it needs no permission review and works with every calendar app rather than only Google. Two-way sync means a provider integration and an approval process, so we would like to know whether it is worth that before starting.
Tell us which of these describes you, and we will use it to order the work:
- Staff enter everything into ChatinFlow anyway, so this would change nothing.
- Staff keep their real availability in their own calendar and this is a blocker.
- We would use it for some staff and not others.
If you are in the second group, say which calendar. Doing Google first and Outlook never would help some of you and nobody else.
