Overview
ChatinFlow does not connect to TikTok's messaging, so it cannot read or answer a TikTok DM. What it can do is pick up the conversation one tap later. You put a link in your TikTok bio that opens a chat with you on Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp or Telegram, and ChatinFlow answers there, with the link telling it the person came from TikTok.
Tags for TikTok traffic
Add a tag step to the flow and every contact who arrived through your bio link carries it. You can then filter by that tag or build a segment of the people TikTok sent you.
Set up the bio link
Connect the channel
Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp or Telegram. ChatinFlow replies on that app, so pick the one your customers already use to talk to you.
Build the link
An Instagram or Messenger link carries a ref value, such as tiktok. A WhatsApp or Telegram link puts a word into the first message instead.
Set the trigger
In Automations, pick the Instagram or Messenger referral trigger and enter that ref value, or a WhatsApp or Telegram keyword trigger with first message only turned on.
Add the link to your bio
TikTok decides which accounts can show a clickable link in their bio, so confirm that yours can before you plan a campaign around it.
Test
Tap the link on your phone and send the first message. The chat appears in Inbox and your flow replies.
What stays in TikTok
- Replying to TikTok DMs or comments. ChatinFlow does not connect to TikTok's messaging, so those stay in the TikTok app.
- TikTok Shop customer service. ChatinFlow has no connection to TikTok Shop.
